I had so much fun styling this gorgeous model with makeup artist Jennifer Tousey for the first issue of TFBM MAG. I told her I wanted colorful makeup highlighting the jewel tones of the season and she came up with gorgeous shadows using Emerald, Acai and Linden Green. She also gave 2 looks with a neutral lip and then she went all out with Vivacious Pink! I bedazzled her hair with some emeralds and amethysts to play on the green and purple hues. ~Katie TFBM

Start with a matte face. Flawless matte is VERY in season for Fall and WInter 2013. Apply eye primer to the eyes. Allow to dry. Apply a thin coat of flesh color shadow. This will make blending of the colors placed on top much easier.
For color you can use any highly pigmented palette. For this look I chose a custom professional palette from Morphe Brushes. Begin the eye with a yellow/green based highlighter to play on the Fall Pantone color Linden Green for the inner corners of the eye top and bottom. Apply with flat liner brush and use liberally. You'll want a big pop of color to frame the complementary colors.
Next add purple, since Acai is one of the Pantone colors of the season, to the inner half of the lid. Blend upwards and into the crease. Be careful to not blend into the light yellow you just applied. It's meant to act as a frame to the purple.
Add your third color, emerald green, to outer half of the lid. Use a fluffy blending brush and work it to meet the purple in the middle of the eyelid. You can use a sponge or a paper towel to catch any fallout and save yourself a clean up job later.
Using a highlighting brush, apply the same soft yellow from inner corner to brow bone. Blend it out. This will accentuate and highlight the brows and also give more base for blending.
Bring the green down and smudge around the lower rim of the eye.
Go back over the yellows to really make it pop.
Time to blend and have some fun!! Add some different hues of purples and teals to the middle of the lid and blend blend blend!! All the colors I chose to use on Megan were warm yellows in undertone. I did this because of her skin tone. She has a natural radiance to her face and it was enhanced with these tones.
Revisit the light yellow we started with and use to blend out edges for a soft finish.
Frame the whole thing with a nice clean brow. Ordinarily I'd suggest a heavy brow for such a bold eye makeup but this end result is using lace as a frame so I kept them thin so as not to compete. I also added a very thin line of black liner to the upper lash line and a black kohl liner to the waterline to provide a frame around the eye.
Find a fun and funky lash to add to your look. I'm a big fan of Monda. I used a full strip with heavy and long lashes on the outer corners to emphasize the eye even more. The style reminded me of a 'who' and gave her a little bit of innocence to a dusky eye. Lashes and liner just pull the whole look together and these combined gave her a nice air of mystery.
Apply lashes of choice with Duo clear eyelash glue.

Apply a neutral tone to the lip. For this I chose something with a slight pink hue to play off the purples. I kept it very neutral so the focus would be on the eye.
Later I will show you a variation with a nice vivacious pink color pop!

She's ready for lace and jewels and lace.
To bump up the look I used OCC lip tar. Go with any high gloss vivacious pink color!
